Suzanne Beaubien has been obsessed with costumes ever since she got busted heading to bed with her makeshift Wonder Woman outfit (a blue bathing suit and red rubber rainboots) on under her pajamas. Since then, she’s put her super powers to work in a number of careers, from journalism to home sewing patterns, and in side gigs such as teaching sewing and illustrating instruction manuals. She designs and creates costumes for the Riverdale Children’s Theatre, a non-profit arts organization that draws New York City’s most talented kids and teens to the Bronx. Creative challenges are her bread and butter. Also: she really likes bread and butter.
